Welcome to the ColoradoPAR provider website!

Attention All Providers

The Department of Healthcare Policy & Financing (HCPF) has published the following procedure code update to inform providers of this upcoming coding change. Please review the code update and familiarize yourself with the change listed on the next slide:

Effective October 1, 2016, per federal coding guidelines, the current Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) code used for low-dose CT lung scans, S8032, is closing and will be replaced by new code G0297 on October 1, 2016. All of the current policies pertaining to S8032 will apply to G0297. Please refer to the Outpatient Imaging and Radiology billing manual in the CMS 1500 section for details.

If a provider currently has a PAR for S8032 and has yet to submit a claim, please contact a helpline ticket through eQSuite and a new PAR number with code G0297 will be issued to you within 3-4 business days.

For more information, visit www.ColoradoPAR.com or call the Colorado PAR Customer Service Line (toll free) at 1-888-801-9355.

Important PAR Information Regarding the Upcoming Transition to HPE - Thursday, February 23, 2017

On March 1st the fiscal agent for Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid Program) will change from Xerox Healthcare to Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). Beginning on this date, HPE will process all Health First Colorado claims.

Providers should continue to enter PARs on the eQSuite® portal and PAR decisions will be rendered in the same timeframe.  Providers can then view the decision on their reviews in eQSuite®.  However, due to the claims system transition, PAR numbers will not be issued for these PARs until the first week in March.

Although PAR numbers will not be available during this transition, you will still be able to see whether your PAR was approved or denied simply by going to our PAR portal eQSuite®.  Please continue to monitor your PAR review decisions in eQSuite®.
